Congratulations and Good-bye to our Graduate!

n.b. marketing has provided work placements and experience for several students and graduates over the years. All have gone on to secure places in their chosen career or study path. Our most recent Marketing Graduate, Maninderjeet, wrote this blog at the end of her 4-week placement:

Well this is my final week of work experience, and it has gone by so quickly!

I have learned a lot during my four weeks at n.b. marketing.  Much of what I have learned has come from just being around in the office and listening to the interaction with clients, the professional manner and the management of the workload. Also, just talking to Barbara, Paula and Nigel has made me so aware of how marketing and Public Relations works in companies, and I have a much better understanding now.


I have been lucky enough to work on a variety of different tasks during my time here. Much of what I was doing was research-based. I enjoyed doing the research I was able to understand more about the clients and the type of work n.b.marketing is doing for them and I was happy to contribute.

Also, I was able to attend a Golf Day competition with Barbara for the charity Barnardo’s.

This involved many of the clients getting together and forming teams and going against each other in a fun way to raise lots of money for a brilliant charity. This was a fantastic opportunity to get out of the office and meet clients face-to-face and take part in a very enjoyable day. Barbara and I greeted the different clients as they came in, which as a good way for me to put faces to the names of some of the clients I was doing research on. I was also in charge of taking all of the team photographs which was fun and a good way for me to interact with the clients. A lot of money was raised on the day which is brilliant and I was very happy to have been there. 

Working at n.b. marketing has provided me with lots of skills and enhanced some I already had. But more importantly it was such a good opportunity for me to sample marketing in real life scenarios and made me more confident that Marketing is the career I want to go in to. 

Since working here, I have applied for many jobs. Having this work experience on my CV has really helped me in my job applications. I have several job interviews scheduled, and I really think it is mainly because I have been able to gain this valuable experience.

My confidence has increased no end and I am very grateful to Barbara, Paula and Nigel for the support and valuable experience they have given me over the past four weeks.

We're delighted to report that Maninderjeet secured a fantastic Graduate job in London with a top Marketing firm almost immediately after she left us. She told us that her work experience with us gave her lots to talk about in her interviews.
